Nutritionist suggests Pronto Sleep for better holiday rest
It’s the time of year where we’re faced with long shopping lists, and endless parties and events to attend. When we hit the pillow, we may be too stressed to fall asleep! CityLine TV host Tracy Moore asked Holistic Nutritionist Andrea Donsky to teach viewers natural ways to manage holiday stress. Donsky gave high marks to Pronto Sleep for because it enables better breathing while delivering essential oils to promote relaxation.
“I came up with an acronym to remind us of four things we can do to relax,” Donsky told viewers. “My acronym is BALL: Breathe, Act, Listen and Laugh.”
B is for Breathe
“The research shows that just by deep breathing we can improve our mood and reduce stress,” Donsky said. She then recommended enhancing the effects of deep breathing by using essential oils. “Certain essential oils have calming properties,” she told viewers. “For example, lavender helps us sleep better, helps us to relax. Whereas citrus helps to wake us up, to energize us.” She introduced the viewers and Moore to Pronto Sleep. “It has essential oils in the actual device,” she explained, adding that Pronto Sleep has lavender and valerian. (It also has eucalyptus and tea tree.)
She explained that the Pronto Sleep nasal dilator opens the nose to improve airflow. And thanks to the built-in scent diffuser “you’re breathing in the essential oils the whole time.” Donsky also showed viewers the charger and explained that it can be used up to 10 times. “It’s a really great way to get your essential oils!”
A is for Act
Donsky said that when our bodies are under stress we need extra support in the form of supplements. Finding ways to get more magnesium and Suntheanine will support our bodies both physically and mentally.
L is for Listen
“Sound therapies help us relax and enter a meditative state fairly quickly,” Donsky said. Music and other types of sounds should be used to reduce stress levels and set the tone for the day.
L is for Laugh
Research shows laughing reduces stress hormones and releases endorphins, our body’s natural feel-good brain chemicals. “If you’re feeling super stressed, do something that makes you laugh — watch a comedy, call a funny friend, watch cat videos, or look at old pictures that remind you of fun times.”
It’s time to take the stress out of this time of year by putting some of Donsky’s suggestions into action. Find Pronto Sleep on Amazon, at Walgreens or at on this site for $16.99.
